Managing users and groups and their logins is a challenge for enterprises all over the world. To that end, we are excited to announce support for SAML 2 in Helpmonks to make it easier for large teams to sign in to their team email collaboration platform.

Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) is an open standard for exchanging authentication and authorization data between parties, in particular, between an identity provider and a service provider.

SAML is part of our Single-Sign-On (SSO) plugin and available in the “GO FURTHER” plan. The Helpmonks SAML integration works with an identity provider such as OneLogin, Auth0, Okta, Ping Identity, ADFS, Salesforce, SharePoint, and Azure.

Helpmonks SAML and oAuth plugin

In addition to SAML, the SSO plugin also offers OAuth authentication and enables signing in to a Helpmonks user’s account seamlessly over a token-based mechanism. Some of our customers, use OAuth to integrate Helpmonks into their portals or custom applications. To learn more about our SSO implementation please see our SSO documentation.

What’s next

We are currently working on a feature to allow syncing of all outgoing messages to your mail server (IMAP sync).

Besides that, we are working on the “Group / Workgroup” feature to enable our customers to assign, manage, and reply in groups.

As always, we are very excited about the future of Helpmonks. The
Helpmonks public RoadMap is available for you to vote on features. We always welcome any feedback.
